Getting Started
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This section is for new CFG users who are anxious to get CFG up and running.
Please refer to CFG.DOC for additional information.
A quick listing of CFG commands may be obtained by executing "CFG /?". You
will see a listing of command formats and switches, followed by a listing of
the commands, their syntax and a short description in a scrollable window.
The letters at the right side of the display indicate whether the command is
available from CONFIG.SYS and/or Batch files.
Once you know what command you want, you can execute "CFG Help CommandName"
to get the corresponding section of CFG.DOC displayed in a scrollable window.
CFG is Shareware. See the CFG.REG file for details on registration. The
"What You Get" section of the CFG.DOC file lists the benefits if
registering your use of CFG.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Minimum Installation Requirements
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The information provided here is based on a few assumptions. The first is
that you know how to run programs. Another is that you are running programs
from the DOS prompt.
All CFG files must be located in the same directory. You have two options.
The first is that all CFG files are placed in a directory that is listed in
your DOS PATH. The second is that all CFG files are located together, but
you specify the complete path to the CFG executable file each time you run
the program.
CFG must have its files located together in order to find the HLP and DOC
files when you request one of the help functions. If you have limited disk
space, you may delete this and the other unneeded files after reading and
registering the program.
